Socks for friends

Socks for a gift for a friend

They are said to be like a family of choice. They laugh with us when things are beautiful and stand by us when worse days come. Friends are special people who bring an extraordinary amount of value to a person's life. July 30 marks the International Day of Friendship. On this occasion, you should pay some attention to your friends. Do you remember the last time you said you appreciated their presence? Right now is the best opportunity to do so. Although it would seem that once gained friendship is given to us forever, it needs to be constantly nurtured. Shared time, kind words or a small gift are able to show the other person that you appreciate them and are glad that they are present in your life. We this year rely on sock gifts. The best gifts are those that relate in some way to a particular friendship. Do you both love sports, follow the games, or maybe you regularly meet at the courts? In that case, a great gift would be tennis socks. Or maybe you enjoy movie screenings or barbecues together? Socks with popcorn and socks with sausage are waiting on our shelves.

International Day of Friendship

The idea of creating a Day of Friendship was born as early as the 1930s, but at the time the holiday did not take off. In subsequent years there were repeated attempts, but finally the official International Day of Friendship was established in 2011. Before the UN established July 30 as Friendship Day, the idea of the holiday was spread in South America. The main credit for this goes to Dr. Ramon Artemio Bracho. The Paraguayan established a foundation for friendship in 1958. Among its main goals was the promotion of interpersonal ties, and on both the private and international levels. Mutual understanding and respect are supposed to strengthen relationships and counteract the emergence of conflicts. Undoubtedly, friendship is a unique value worth nurturing. Scientists prove that having real friends in life reduces stress levels and improves well-being. An interesting study confirming this thesis was conducted at King's College London. British researchers subjected each test subject to two trials, during which the test subject's fingers were exposed to a laser. Both trials were monitored through an EEG study. In the first case, the man was alone, while in the second he was accompanied by a friend. The trials on all individuals showed that the test subject feels significantly less pain when a close friend is by his side. His level of happiness also increases. This only confirms how important a role friendship plays in people's lives.
