Vegetables, veganism and appetizing socks

Vegetable socks

November 1 marks World Vegan Day. This is an ideal opportunity to promote a plant-based diet. Even if you don't want to give up meat, it's worthwhile to enrich your menu with vegetables and fruits. It is no coincidence that diet is said to be responsible for a person's health and well-being. What to do if you are not in the habit of eating vegetables and fruits? We have a proven method for this. Colorful socks in vegetables turn out to be useful. Just one look at the accessory, and an instantaneous reminder pops into your head that, after all, you haven't yet eaten five servings of vegetables today. Vegetable food is not only healthy, but can be very tasty at the same time. Maybe socks in avocado will inspire you to make homemade guacamole, and with socks in dumplings you will learn how to make stuffing with spinach? The options are plentiful. Among our favorite appetizing models were also socks with corn, among others. In the category of dessert variants, the most popular are socks with strawberries and socks with watermelons. Looking at all these tasty designs, you can create a ready-made menu in your mind.

What is veganism all about?

Until a dozen years ago, being vegan caused quite a sensation, and finding plant-based meat substitutes in stores bordered on the miraculous. Today, more and more people are opting for a diet based on plant-based ingredients. Long-time vegans are also amazed by the abundance of store offerings. Mostly even small markets have at least a few plant-based offerings in their assortment. Veganism is primarily about giving up eating ingredients of animal origin. This includes meat, but also dairy and eggs, among others. The motivation behind the switch to veganism can be different in each case. The most commonly cited reasons are ethical and health reasons. The first reason is usually also combined with changes concerning other areas of life. Many vegans eliminate zoonotic products not only from their diet, but also from other areas. This involves, among other things, giving up wearing leather clothing and accessories, and paying special attention to ensuring that cosmetics, among other things, are not tested on animals. It also excludes participation in entertainment that is a source of animal suffering, such as the circus. The word vegan itself came into use in 1944. It is short for the word vegetarian. Donald Watson, the founder of the Vegan Society, came up with the idea.
