On this year's Androids, we put the main emphasis on comfort. What can't be missing during an Androtic meeting with family and friends? For us, loose sweatpants and soft socks come first. It may not be the most outgoing set, but it is the house parties that provide the most unforgettable memories. Once you've equipped yourself with comfortable clothes and fluffy socks, all that remains is to choose the best food and activities. A great way to spend an interesting time is to cook together. It's worth choosing dishes that will appeal to all partygoers. Certainly among the party classics can be mentioned pizza and burgers. However, such prepared at home, will certainly taste much better than the bought variant. In addition, it's a perfect treat for an evening with board games. St. Andrew's Day is also the perfect time to tap into Polish traditions, and we have quite a few of them. Certainly one of the most commonly played is pouring wax. All you have to do is pour hot wax through a keyhole. This creates a specific shape in the water, and the shadow it creates is a kind of divination. It's a simple game that always provides a lot of excitement.
Andrews traditions
Many of the traditions of St. Andrew's Day are intended especially for ladies and bachelors. This makes it an excellent opportunity to throw a party for singles. One of the customs is the fortune telling associated with letting go of boats. All you need to do is fold a number of paper boats. A name is written on the bottom of each, and then the boats are dropped into a tub or bowl of water. When the two boats collide, you check the written names. This is supposed to indicate that the persons might fall in love with each other. If you don't feel like putting the boats together, there are many other ways to find out the name of your other half. One of the simplest is to write the names on slips of paper and then hide them under your pillow. In the morning, all you have to do is take out one piece of paper, and it is the name written on it that is supposed to indicate the person you are destined to meet. If you have a competitive spirit in you, a great choice is peeling apples. However, it is not the best time that counts here. The person who manages to get the longest peel wins. The prize is supposed to be not only winner status, but also a long and successful relationship. Those who have not yet met their other half take part in the second part of the task. They throw the peelings they obtain behind them. The shape into which the apple pieces are arranged is supposed to indicate the initials of the future chosen one.
