Are soft socks part of self-care?

Comfortable socks - take care of your comfort!

On Valentine's Day, our main focus is on our loved ones. This is certainly a noble custom, but it also has a pitfall. We live in a society where altruism is nurtured in us from childhood, and selfishness is considered one of the worst traits. Unfortunately, in the educational process, healthy selfishness, which allows a person to take care of his needs, is very often forgotten. It is not at all related to thinking only about oneself and one's needs, but it is geared towards not putting oneself last. A complete lack of caring for oneself can easily lead to devastation of the body and lowered self-esteem. That's why, on the occasion of Valentine's Day, we encourage you to do something nice for yourself. Of course, for us the basics are comfortable socks made of natural materials. Comfortable clothing has a significant impact on your overall well-being. Fortunately, comfort can go hand in hand with aesthetic qualities, so you don't have to give up anything. Colorful socks with a love potion can become an expression of your self-love. The concept of self-love has been used for centuries, but only in recent years has it been treated with due seriousness. Already St. Thomas Aquinas used to say that a person who accepts and loves himself is able to give the most love to others. It is you yourself who are your most faithful life companion, which is why it is so important that your company makes you happy. Self-love is learning to appreciate yourself and enjoy being yourself. If you have trouble putting your needs first, self-care techniques can help.

What is self-care?

We could call the concept of self-care as self-care. It is taking care of yourself, your health and your needs. Some people constantly forget about themselves, and self-care provides an opportunity to remind them that they are important too. Taking care of ourselves includes a wide variety of issues, but the absolute foundation is taking care of your body's most important needs. If you find this difficult, it's worth starting with small steps. Surely your body will thank you for introducing more vegetables and fruits into your diet. Maybe from now on your favorite afternoon snack will become a fruit smoothie, and for breakfast you will choose oatmeal instead of scrambled eggs? Even if this doesn't convince you, a serving of broccoli topped with a traditional dinner will be a good start. Another important point is to keep your body hydrated. It is estimated that a person should drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day. This affects the proper hydration of cells and, consequently, the appearance of skin, hair and nails. Too little fluid can lead to decreased concentration and headaches. Another important point is to incorporate more exercise into your life. You don't have to tire yourself out on a treadmill or become a professional athlete. For starters, just get off a stop earlier and walk home. This will create endorphins in your body, which will improve your mood and give you more energy. However, all the healthy habits won't change anything if you don't take care of good quality sleep. An adult should get about 7 hours of sleep per day. If you have trouble sleeping, there are a few proven ways to do it. An hour before you plan to sleep, it's a good idea to put away any devices that emit blue light, which stimulates the mind. A decent airing of the room will certainly help. Some people also find evening meditation or relaxation exercises helpful. Self-care is also about knowing how to set limits. Forcing yourself into activities that cause you stress is often fatal to your health. Don't feel like babysitting your friend's children because you feel horrible fatigue after a difficult week? Or are you fed up with overtime? It's high time to bet on yourself. This will help you gain more strength and allow you to participate in activities that you really enjoy.
