Socks with cats

Do you already have your own pair of cat socks? If not, then World Cat Day is the perfect time to stock up on cat socks. Thus prepared, you can proceed to the actual celebration phase, which is spending time with your kitty. Maybe he will also get a special gift on this day? The holiday is celebrated in Poland and Italy. The initiative was created especially for homeless cats, which are often condemned to a difficult life and loneliness. Cat Day reminds us how wonderful companions these fluffy quadrupeds are and how much they can change people's lives. They are extraordinary creatures, which are characterized by exceptional intelligence, and one of them even once became ... the mayor. Stubbs could easily become the hero of a classic Hollywood production, which tells the story of difficult beginnings and the way to the top. The kitten was found in a cardboard box in a parking lot, and he stole the hearts of his future owners by the fact that he had no tail. The events took place in 1997 in the town of Talkeetna, Alaska. It was the year of the mayoral election, but no candidate won the approval of the residents, so they decided to put forward the candidacy of a cat. Stubbs won the election and served as the town's honorary mayor for the next twenty years. The friendly redhead was perfectly suited to his new role. He received visits from tourists, and every day at the same time he went to a nearby restaurant to drink from an elegant glass of water spiced with catnip.

Cat healers

Cats can be great friends whose company has a salutary effect on humans. Many scientists have confirmed that cat owners are 20% less likely to suffer a heart attack or stroke. However, these are not the only health benefits of caring for a cat. You've probably heard the story of a purr-fect cat laying down on the exact spot that hurts a human. These are not fantastic tales to validate the magical properties of cats, but true stories that stem from the very nature of animals. Sick spots are positively ionized, while a cat's fur has a negative charge. Purrs naturally gravitate to areas where the ions are neutralized. This can make a person feel much better just by having their pet. In recent years, feline therapy has become more and more popular as a therapy for the elderly, among others. Cat therapists have a very calming effect and are true masters in improving human well-being. Feline companions are also indicated for people struggling with depression. The purring of the animals and, above all, their mere company allows you to calm down and improves your overall mood. In addition, cats very often find their way to autistic children, for whom dogs are sometimes too noisy and direct. Scientists say that cat therapists perfectly combine cordiality with a bit of distance. As a result, cats have a calming effect while helping children open up to contact with others.
