Cheerful socks for Dinosaur Day

Crazy patterned socks

On February 26 we celebrate Dinosaur Day in Poland. How best to celebrate such an original event? Certainly a trip to an amusement park is a good choice. For whom else a better option will be to go to a museum of prehistory, and there will also be people who will spend the evening watching movies about dinosaurs. Interestingly, in this category you will find documentaries, as well as adventure cinema and fairy tales. However, to make all these activities even more enjoyable, it is worth equipping yourself with soft socks that will ensure your comfort in any situation. On Dinosaur Day, we especially recommend crazy patterned socks. Some fun prints are deceptively reminiscent of dinosaur coloring. It's also time to learn some interesting facts about these unique creatures. Did you know that pterodactyls were able to fly right after birth? They are the only documented creatures that possessed such an ability. All thanks to the fact that pterodactyls were on their own from the first days of life. Their parents didn't take care of the baby dinosaurs, which were able to survive precisely because of their ability to fly.

Cheating lizard

This year our hero became the apatosaurus, which until a few years ago was identified with the brontosaurus. However, a 2015 study proved that they are separate species with quite a few differences between them. Much about the appearance of the apatosaurus is told by its very name, which in Latin means a cheat lizard. The dinosaur lived about 150 million years ago during the Late Jurassic, and its habitat was North America. It is believed that the apatosaurus was one of the largest land animals ever to inhabit the earth. An adult individual reached about 23 tons in weight and measured about 20 meters in length. Dinosaurs usually moved in large groups, which protected them from attack by predators. Apatosaurs were herbivores. Reaching for leaves was facilitated by their long neck. The creature also had a distinctive elongated tail, which came in handy when defending itself against other species, among other things. Scientists have shown that sounds of 200 decibels were created when the tail was struck. The noise produced when a cannon is fired has a similar value.
