If, on the other hand, you want to use your creative reserves, socks with masks will be your inspiration. Their design refers to traditional Mexican Dia de Muertos celebrations, which are famous for colorful flowers and distinctive makeup, among other things. Socks with zombies can also become an inspiration. If, on the other hand, you want to stand out with your outfit, it's worth learning more about legends and customs that are not as popular in our country. A real treasure trove of ideas is Japanese folklore. A black outfit and classic socks will become a great basis for creating a costume of a jorogumo, that is, a terrifying creature that has caught many unwary young men in its threads.

Run away from the spider maiden

In Slavonia, reckless men were lurked by, among others, russets and whirlwinds, while in Japan the yorogumo laid their snares. Under this mysterious name were magical creatures that possessed the ability to change form. Initially, they took the form of a spider. Few managed to metamorphose into the next stage, as this could happen only after four hundred years. However, when such a moment came, the insect suddenly gained monstrous size, and its food became people. The creature possessed magical powers that allowed it to take the form of a yorogumo, or spider maiden. This is how it was perceived by young men, to whom the beauty of the fantastic creature obscured all reason. By the time a man discovered the demon's true face, it was too late to escape. Jorogumo showed no mercy, despising the carelessness of men. Some accounts mention that spider maidens took revenge in this way on men, for whom only the beauty of women mattered. In many stories, the yorogumo additionally has power over other spiders, who constitute her army and will harm anyone who even tries to defy her orders.
