When it comes to the Valentine's Day outfit, it can't lack red or pink accents. Some will opt for an elegant coat, while others will be more comfortable with a soft down coat. However, invariably the perfect complement to both styles will be pink socks. Will you opt for a plain model or a patterned pair? If you are not a fan of pink, red socks will be an equally good choice. After all, the ruby hue has been considered the color of love for centuries.
City of lovers
Although in the world it is Venice that holds the title of the city of lovers, in Poland we also have a locality that has earned the same name. We are talking about Chelmno, whose walls were supposed to have witnessed a unique love story years ago. The city was once located on the route of a trade route, and as a result, many merchants came to Chelmno with their goods. Along with one caravan, a young Englishman appeared in the city. The man was of noble lineage, but decided to change his life and seek his fortune in distant lands. That is why he was not afraid of physical labor, and his enthusiasm and sincere smile soon won him the favor of the locals. One of the orders was commissioned by a rich merchant who owned a beautiful daughter. It only took a few fleeting glances for the Englishman and the girl to develop feelings for each other. From now on they spent every evening together, hiding from hostile glances. The father did not want to let his daughter get involved with a stranger. However, the youngsters could not live without each other, so they devised an escape plan. They wanted to leave the city through secret tunnels and start a new life together. Unfortunately, the youngsters were spotted by one of the locals, who quickly notified the girl's father and the city guards. The lovers, knowing that they would be separated, decided to end their lives. Two young hearts full of love stopped beating pierced by the cold blade of a dagger.
