More wacky additions are also being used in brewing. How about beer with pizza or oysters? We can't assure you that such a drink will appeal to you, but there is no doubt that it will stay in your memory for a long time.

Who was the first to drink beer?

Our distant ancestors needed just two ingredients to make the prototype of beer. Although the combination of bread and water does not resemble today's form of the drink, it was once a nutritious mush that contained alcohol. It is believed that the first brewers were the ancient Sumerians. Plaques, dating back to around 4000 BC, are engraved with figures preparing beer from spelt. In addition, the cuneiform writing describes a drink called sikar, which is considered an ancient beer, also known as a divine drink. The ancient beverage was created inside clay vessels, in which bread cakes, spices, honey or date juice were placed, and then the whole thing was poured with water. The next step was to form the dough from the previously mentioned ingredients. The finished cakes were then dried, and when they reached the right structure, they were crumbled and dropped into the water. The solution thus prepared was seasoned with fruits and dried plants. The whole thing was heated and fermented. The finished beverage did not have a clear consistency, but the Sumerians found a solution for this as well. They consumed sikar using reed tubes. Interestingly, the Sumerians did not stop at one type of beer. Women drank light wheat beer, while men had as many as 16 dark varieties to choose from. The production of the liquor itself was handled exclusively by ladies, as this type of craft was under the protection of female deities.
