Green socks for Tree Day

What kind of socks do you associate with trees? Would you rather choose green socks with leaves or maybe brown socks? October 10 is Tree Day, and it's a great opportunity not only to reach for fashion inspiration from the natural world, but also to increase your environmental awareness. The holiday was initiated by Julius Sterling Morton, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture of the United States and governor of the state of Nebraska. The man in 1872 came up with the initiative to have each of his countrymen plant one tree on April 10. The holiday has been celebrated in Europe since 1951, and in Poland itself since 2002. However, in our country it falls not in April, but in October. Instead, the very premise of the holiday is similar, with one of the most important points being the planting of new trees and educating the public on environmental issues. Some schools hold special classes to show the youngest children that even our daily choices have an impact on the appearance of the environment. One of the first steps toward change can be conscious shopping. To do so, choose reliable sources that use natural materials and follow a work ethic at all stages of production.

Unusual properties of trees

Just a few minutes spent among trees can reduce your stress levels and lower your blood pressure. Trees have a remarkable impact on human life and well-being. Much is said about the energy of trees. Some people sit near the plants, while others choose to hug them. While this may still sound like an abstraction to many, similar behavior is merely a return to the customs of our ancestors. It is no coincidence that temples were built in forests, and the object of worship sometimes became the trees themselves. Interestingly, it is believed that each species of tree can bring different health benefits. The pine tree is able to grow even in not very favorable environments. That is why it is supposed to help people overcome problems. Spruce, on the other hand, is conducive to people who find it difficult to find their way around. It is a tree that strengthens self-confidence and helps to overcome shyness. The company of the beech tree can help you find life's balance. It is believed that it is a tree that makes it easier to recover from difficult situations in life. If you need more strength and willpower, be sure to look for oak trees in your area. Linden, on the other hand, promotes recovery of mental balance.
