The degree of difficulty of the decorations depends, among other things, on the skill and patience of the person. One of the easiest items to make is a chain. All you need is glue and colorful paper or tissue paper. In a few moments a decoration is created, which gives the Christmas tree an unusual charm. If you have the soul of an artist, a great challenge for you will be making the so-called spider. The name of this impressive folk ornament is connected with its complicated shape. The wooden construction can be decorated with hand-made hedgehogs or tissue paper flowers, among other things. In some regions, decorations are also made of straw. Spiders are very spectacular, and a few centuries ago they were one of the main Christmas decorations.
What do baubles symbolize?
As well as being beautiful decorations, baubles and other Christmas tree ornaments have their own unique meaning. This symbolism was important especially in the folk tradition, but also today it is worth to know what individual objects mean. Pine cones and nuts are responsible for fertility and prosperity. Similar in meaning are various edible ornaments such as gingerbread, shortbread cookies and candies. Christmas tree lights are also an important element, which light up the darkness of the night, and in a symbolic sense show the way to Christ. Decorating the Christmas tree is a great way to spend time with your family. Moreover, it is the activity that allows to feel the atmosphere of coming Christmas.
